WiX is a flexible platform enabling mobile operators to efficiently reuse Wi-Fi network resources by integrating the Wi-Fi domain into the 3G/4G core network.

This converged architecture enables:

• voice calls and SMS via VoIP over Wi-Fi;
• unified charging and service transparency;
• reduced load on the mobile core network.

WiX supports integration with WLAN aggregators, enabling Wi-Fi roaming, where subscribers use Wi-Fi worldwide while being charged from their home operator account.

Real-time charging for data and voice services is supported using CAMEL and DIAMETER protocols.
